It is considered one of the most beautiful winter destinations in Europe: the ski region Lech Zürs in the Arlberg region is a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders, freestylers and heliskiing enthusiasts. Zürs belongs to the municipality of Lech and is one of the most exclusive winter sports resorts in the Alps. Situated at an altitude of 1,720 meters, the traditional village offers a fantastic mountain scenery and the best winter sports conditions for your skiing vacation. All the ski slopes lead right into the small village and can be reached in just a few minutes by foot. In Zürs, skiing or snowboarding is possible right up to the hotel doorstep. Our ski hotel Thurnher’s Alpenhof is also located directly on the ski slopes and is just a few steps away from the Hexenboden lift and Zürsersee lift.

With the opening of the Flexenbahn cable car in the 2016/17 winter season, the ski resorts in the Arlberg region - Zürs, Stuben, Rauz and St. Anton - merged into one large ski area. This makes the Lech Zürs the largest ski resort in Austria with 302 km of slopes. With the Ski Arlberg ski pass, you have access to all slopes and lifts in the region with just one card.

Around Thurnher’s Alpenhof, 27 kilometers of cross-country trails await. The conditions for winter days could hardly be better for cross-country skiing - it doesn't matter what level of experience you have. The cross-country ski trails have been designed to offer routes for every level of ability: extensive plains, gentle ascents, brisk mountain sprints. The cross-country skiing area spans a total of 27 kilometers of trails, which are free to use and are among the best groomed in the region.

Tobogganing is an amazingly fast-paced winter experience that don't require a lot of technical skill. The sled run from Oberlech to Lech is close to the hotel and is a real insider tip.
You can stroll from Zürs along a beautiful, idyllic hiking trail to Lech or towards the Flexenpass. With snowshoes, you can easily go through the untouched nature and thick snow exploring the ski region at your own pace with your loved ones, with the whole family or as part of a guided tour.
Those who prefer to take off can experience the breathtaking mountain world from above while paragliding. This is definitely an experience that will live long in your memory.
Ice skating is a winter sport for everyone! Whether with your partner, the whole family or a few friends - it's always a fun time. The covered ice arena in Lech is located just a five-minute drive from the hotel.
