Our IFEN Alpine Cuisine

A culinary journey awaits you every day as part of our IFEN Alpine cuisine. Explore the diverse world of flavors and try sweet treats, hearty snacks and hot and cold dishes to your heart's content. Lovingly prepared from regional products, which we mainly source from Kleinwalsertal, Allgäu and Vorarlberg region.

Even the morning breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Enjoy fresh egg dishes prepared right before your eyes in the show kitchen. Sample a tasty variety of regional sausage and cheese specialties. Top off crispy, local baked goods with fruity spreads and jams. Fill up on healthy energy with a selection of fresh fruit, vitamin-rich juices, regional dairy products and hearty cereals. Plus a variety of exquisite teas and coffee specialties to suit your personal taste.

Small IFEN Alpine Cuisine
  • Early morning coffee in the SPA-ROSA from 7 a.m
  • IFEN breakfast: buffet with regional products, coffee & tea specialties, fresh egg dishes and much more. (7:30 to 11 a.m.)
  • Small late riser breakfast in the Alpenlounge (11 am to 12 noon)
  • IFEN hiking water and fruit to take with you on the go
  • Selected treats, dishes and snacks during the day in various areas of the hotel (12 to 5 pm)
  • SPA-ROSA: changing small snacks with dried fruit, nuts, VitaJuwel water and selected teas
  • Theo's: IFEN Alpine snack with a choice of two delicious dishes, crisp salads, regional sausage & cheese specialties and home-baked cakes from the tray (2 to 4 p.m.)
Large IFEN Alpine Cuisine
  • Enjoy all the contents of the Small IFEN Alpine Cuisine
  • PLUS: Five-course dinner – served and/or from the buffet (6.30 to 9 p.m.)
    • With a choice of three main courses from each of the three kitchen lines "Modern. Fine Dining", "Allgäu. Bregenzer Wald. Kleinwalsertal." and "Healthy. Well-Being. Vital."
    • To top it all off: cheese tasting from the Allgäu and Bregenz Forest with chutneys from our IFEN manufacture.

Our recommendation for an extra portion of enjoyment:

Book the Large IFEN Alpine Cuisine (Small IFEN Alpine Cuisine PLUS: 5-course dinner) for €45 per person per day in addition to your reservation.

Note: Some of our vacation offers already include dinner and therefore also the Large IFEN Alpine Cuisine.

In our Kilian Stuba, chef Sascha Kemmerer unfolds his culinary skills, which have been recognized with a Michelin star since 2012. The cuisine is cosmopolitan, with a clear love of French cuisine, and dispenses with unnecessary frills. Instead, the menu focuses on clear, unadulterated flavors and the essentials. Top-quality ingredients and masterful craftsmanship merge to create a culinary identity that has shaped and accompanied Kemmerer over the years. Each dish reflects the optimal preparation method of the respective products and impresses with intense, sauce-focused and authentic taste experiences.

In the Carnozet restaurant, our "Walser Guten Stube", you will not only discover authentic Austrian tavern cuisine, but also immerse yourself in a world that celebrates tradition and authenticity – clear and unadulterated. Head chef Sascha Kemmerer knows how to make a culinary statement by using traditional methods of preparation and selecting excellent products from quality suppliers in Kleinwalsertal, the Bregenz Forest and the Allgäu. Surrounded by the warmth of the open fire and elegant spruce wood paneling, you will experience culinary moments of pleasure with a spectacular view of the majestic Kleinwalsertal.

The A-ROSA Ifen Hotel is located at exactly 1,111 meters above sea level, nestled in the imposing Walser mountains. This altitude also gives our stylish hotel bar its name. Oversized wing chairs and elongated natural wood high tables await you here. Cowhide stools and shimmering candlelight invite you to enjoy aromatic coffee specialties, fine cocktail creations or a glass of champagne. The perfect end to a wonderful, eventful day in the mountains and at the same time the ideal way to get in the mood for a wonderful vacation evening.
